Randstad Canada is hiring a Licensed Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic in Edmonton, AB for a permanent, full-time role with a Monday–Friday day shift. Earn $44–$48/hr plus signing bonus, with off-shift premiums.

Qualifications

• Red Seal/Journeyman Heavy Duty license with active CVIP sign-off authority.
• 5+ years of practical shop experience servicing heavy diesel tractor-trailers.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence (Class 3/D with Q‑endorsement preferred or earned within 6 months).
• Own a full setup of hand/air tools and proficiency with diagnostic software.
• Clean driver\'s abstract required (no drug screening or background checks).
• Able to lift 23 kg (50 lbs) and manage up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

Responsabilités

• Preventive service: deep inspections, fluid servicing, preventive repairs on trucks/trailers.
• Major overhauls: disassemble, rebuild, and calibrate engines, gearboxes, differentials, fuel systems.
• Complex diagnostics: troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic/air brake/engine issues with software.
• CVIP sign-offs: perform safety checks and sign off on official papers.
• Service records: document repairs in WOs and track warranty details.
• Shop standards: maintain safe, clean workspace and adhere to safety policies.
