Wainbee in Burnaby, BC is seeking a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel engines and generator equipment. Occasional travel to customer sites and a rotational on-call schedule are expected. HVAC/electrical specialization is welcome and encouraged.

The role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience, strong mechanical skills, and a valid driver's license. You will train junior technicians and contribute to a safe, professional work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge with various engines.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on rental gensets and customer equipment.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Maintain service documentation.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Rotational on-call schedule.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Train lower-level technicians as needed.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are searching for a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our rapidly growing team in Burnaby, BC. You'll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and generator / power generation equipment.

*NOTE: we are also open to candidates who have specialized experience in HVAC and electrical equipment.
