Irving Oil Ltd. is seeking a Heating Service Technician in New Brunswick to service customers, diagnose issues, install and maintain residential and commercial heating systems.

You will travel occasionally to job sites and use industry best practices to ensure safe, reliable operation. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and timely completion, with a structured work model and competitive compensation including bonus, pension, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have Gas Technician license or Oil license; dual licensing is an asset.
• 5–10 years of field experience in heating service.
• Knowledge of wiring, plumbing and some air conditioning is required.
• Strong communication skills and a high customer service focus.
• Technical/mechanical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests (installations, repairs) using industry best practices and troubleshoot customer issues.
• Respond to customers’ needs within established guidelines.
• Diagnose and solve complex system problems during inspections (gas flow, thermostats, heat flow, insulation).
• Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements using best practices.
• Provide consultative services within defined area and lead project streams when required.
• Mitigate risk by identifying potential threats and ensuring safety.
• Provide final inspections of systems after repairs to ensure safe operation.
• Demonstrate understanding of products and services and their impact on operations.
• Provide status updates to the Service Manager and team.
• Ensure a safe working environment per safety policies and PPE usage.
