Westcal Insulation Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Commercial Insulator for full-time, on-site work across Calgary, Edmonton, and surrounding areas.

You will measure, cut and install insulation, apply vapor barriers, and finish surfaces per client specifications while maintaining safety standards. Ideal candidates have 1–5 years of insulation experience, WHMIS 2015 and CSTS 2020 credentials, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel for work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut insulating materials to required dimensions using hand and power tools.
• Apply and secure insulation using pasting, strapping, taping and other installation methods.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and protrusions.
• Install vapor barriers.
• Apply canvas, PVC and metal cladding finishes over insulation.
• Follow safety protocols and work to meet project timelines.
• Work independently and as a team member.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate progress and any issues to supervision.
• Travel to job sites across Calgary, Edmonton, and surrounding areas.

Westcal Insulation Ltd. is a full service commercial and industrial mechanical insulation contractor headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We are committed to projects done effectively, efficiently, safely, and on schedule for the most reasonable price. Ever since we were incorporated in 1991, we have done just that. Our founder Mike Cesto started in the industry in 1970 with one of the largest insulation contractors in the area at the time and became familiar with all aspects of the commercial and industrial mechanical insulation industry. This knowledge was handed down to his son Sasha Cesto, who has been with the company since its inception. The teaching methods incorporated gave Westcal Insulation Ltd. an edge in the early years as the expertise was handed down on site, with father and son working side by side ensuring a quality job done at a low cost.

Pay: CA$18.00 - CA$32.00 per hour (dependent on commercial and industrial insulation experience)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

8 hours/day, Monday-Friday, Dayshifts

Job Location: Varying onsite location

Calgary, Edmonton, surrounding areas and out-of-town
