Qualifications

• Requires Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
• Five years of progressive sworn law enforcement experience with two years in a supervisory role.
• Certification from NC CJETSC or eligible for out-of-state lateral hires.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee campus operations or a unit within the department and supervise personnel.
• Coordinate law enforcement responses to emergencies and incidents in a healthcare setting.
• Review activity reports for completeness, thoroughness and accuracy.
• Assist in policy procedures and familiarity with departmental manuals and HR policy.
• Coordinate with outside law enforcement and forensic staff as needed.
• Deploy personnel per incident command procedures and serve as initial Incident Commander.
• Address personnel concerns, conduct performance evaluations and annual training.
• Manage staffing through scheduling and time management; conduct regular trainings.
• Identify leadership development opportunities and oversee training functions.
