Job summary

CancerCare Manitoba is seeking a Programmer Analyst to analyze, develop, and implement modules within comprehensive information systems. The incumbent will support the Cancer Informatics Platform, cancer registry, and screening program registries.

Responsibilities include handling escalations from the service desk, planning upgrades, triaging incidents, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating across departments within CCMB. Strong Linux/Windows and database skills are required.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Oracle/Sun certified Java programmer certification is an asset.
• Experience with database management systems (Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server).
• 3 years current experience as a Programmer Analyst.
• Experience with React, Java and PHP.
• Experience in database reporting and query design.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical user support for escalations from the service desk.
• Plan, implement and document upgrades or new application installations as part of a project team.
• Provide tier 2 responses to incidents and problems escalated by the service desk.
• Ensure data integrity and integration across the organization.
• Communicate progress and resolutions with CCIM and other departments.
