Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Casual Utility Worker in the Eastern Zone at Strait Richmond Hospital. You will perform general housekeeping tasks, maintain clean and sanitary areas, and support patient care environments in line with established standards.

Responsibilities include following safety protocols, participating in on-the-job training, and assisting teammates while providing courteous service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/GED required or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and methods that apply to a health care setting is an asset.
• Good communication skills are essential.
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas.
• Participates in on-the-job training and assists coworkers.
• Observes safety and patient confidentiality policies in daily tasks.
