Job summary

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to clean and disinfect patient rooms, clinical areas, and other common spaces within a hospital or facility at Hythe Continuing Care Centre. You will perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restocking supplies, stripping linen and making beds, and operate industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance.

You’ll identify hazards, follow safety practices, and participate in training to meet AHS standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shift.
• Physically capable to lift up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs of force.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, clinical areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, restock supplies, and change linens.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment for floors and maintenance.
• Identify hazards and report to supervisor.
• Provide orientation to Environmental or Laundry staff.
