Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a dependable Environmental Services II to clean and disinfect patient rooms and clinical areas within a hospital setting. This Casual/Relief role at Drumheller Health Centre requires follow-through on safety standards and training provided by AHS.

Typical duties include sweeping, mopping, linen handling, and restocking supplies, with opportunities to train other Environmental or Laundry staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Knowledge and operation of computers and smartphones.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift.
• Physically capable to lift up to 25 lbs and push and pull up to 50 lbs of force.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, clinical areas, offices and common areas.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum, restock bathroom supplies and change linens.
• Operate cleaning equipment for floor maintenance and restoration.
• Identify and report hazards to supervision and assist with staff training.
