Job summary

EXP, Halifax, NS, is seeking a licensed Healthcare Architect to join our growing team. You will design healthcare facilities in accordance with codes, collaborate with medical professionals, and manage projects from concept through construction.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams, produce detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, and stay current with regulations and sustainability practices. This role requires a degree in Architecture and 5+ years of healthcare design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Architect with 5+ years of healthcare facility design experience.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Bilingual (English/French) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan healthcare facilities including hospitals, clinics, and medical offices in compliance with healthcare codes and standards.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, engineers, and stakeholders to create efficient, patient-focused spaces.
• Manage projects from concept through construction and post-occupancy evaluation.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Stay current with healthcare regulations, sustainability practices, and design trends.

The salary range for this role is between $115K - $140K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
