Qualifications

Salary: The salary range for this position is CAD $25.54 - $27.22 / hour.

Job Summary

We are currently looking to fill a Casual opportunity for a Health Unit Aide with Public Health across multiple sites in the Fraser Health region.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and conduct hearing and vision screenings; record results and make referrals.
  2. Set up immunization clinics; monitor and maintain biological supplies and equipment.
  3. Maintain inventories of supplies and equipment.
  4. Clean and sterilize equipment and supplies.
  5. Support clinical activities including setting up and cleaning rooms, and distributing supplies.
  6. Perform administrative duties such as data entry, appointment booking, and filing.
  7. Manage supplies and biologicals, including transportation and documentation.
  8. Supervise volunteers and perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: Grade twelve, Medical Office Assistant Certificate, plus one year of recent related experience or equivalent. Valid BC Class V Driver’s License and personal vehicle required.

Skills and Abilities: Effective communication, physical capability, independent and team work, equipment operation, rapport building, organizational skills, proficiency in data entry and word processing at 40 wpm, knowledge of office procedures.
