Project Technologist
Occupational Health & Safety
Edmonton, AB

Today is the day to boost your career! Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Occupational Health and Safety team in our Edmonton, Alberta office.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Technologist will provide occupational hygiene, and health and safety consulting services to our valued clients.

A Day in the Life of a Project Technologist at Pinchin:
  1. Conduct worker exposure monitoring to support occupational hygiene assessments across various work sites throughout the province.
  2. Assist in developing health and safety documentation, including exposure control plans, programs, policies, and safe work procedures (e.g., confined space, fall protection, respiratory protection).
  3. Perform on-site assessments, inspections, and testing related to chemical and physical hazards.
  4. Prepare technical reports.
  5. Conduct safety inspections and audits.
  6. Liaise with clients to ensure their needs and objectives are met.
  7. Build and maintain positive client relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Occupational Hygiene (or related field).
  • Six months to two years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent client interfacing and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial processes and environments is an asset.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
