Base pay range

CA$100,000.00 / yr - CA$110,000.00 / yr

Day-to-Day

Insight Global is looking for a Health and Safety coordinator to join a leading electrical services company. Supporting a large refurbishment project replacing key components with more efficient designs, ensuring these stations continue to support Ontario's electrification and net-zero goals.

Responsibilities include :

• Develop, implement, and monitor EHS programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health and safety standards.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; develop corrective and preventive action plans.
• Provide EHS training and toolbox talks to employees, contractors, and site personnel.
• Support environmental permitting, monitoring, and reporting activities related to water use, emissions, and biodiversity.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to integrate EHS considerations into project planning and execution.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
• Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of EHS experience, preferably in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
• Experience working on hydropower or large-scale civil infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant EHS legislation, standards, and best practices (e.g., OHSA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in CRSP, CSP, or similar designation is an asset.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.
