Job summary

Altera Digital Health is seeking a Health Informatics Intern for a remote Canada internship (Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba). You will support cross-functional teams, analyze clinical workflows, and assist in the design and validation of clinical order sets.

The role requires ongoing health informatics studies, proficiency in Power BI and SQL, familiarity with HL7/FHIR standards, and strong communication. The internship lasts 3–4 months with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Canadian health informatics, computer science, software engineering or data science master’s program with internship track.
• Postgraduate certificate in health informatics may also be considered.
• Strong interest in advancing healthcare technology and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze project requirements and assist in project execution.
• Analyze and document clinical and referral workflows and participate in the design and validation of clinical order sets.
