Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital is recruiting for a Health Information Management coding roles to support Emergency and Day Surgery data capture. This position requires graduate-level HIM credentials and CHIMA certification with at least one year of related experience.

You will code and abstract clinical information, ensure data accuracy, and collaborate within a busy hospital setting while adhering to coding standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Health Information Management Diploma Program recognized by the Canadian College of Health Information Management (CCHIM) at a certificant level.
• Member in good standing with CHIMA and ongoing CPE credits.
• Minimum of one year of previous related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of health information flow in a health care organization.
• Ability to code and abstract according to CIHI standards (ICD-10-CA/CCI).
