Job summary

Qualicare Homecare BC is seeking Health Care Aides/Caregivers to support clients in the Tsawwassen and South Delta area. The role involves personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship, and transportation support within the local community.

Immediate openings are available for HCAs/PSWs/Caregivers with options for flexible hours, ongoing client assignments, and access to training through QPath Career Pathways. Experience in home care is valued.

Qualifications

• Must reside in South Delta (Tsawwassen/Ladner) or commute reliably to shifts in the area.
• Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse or nursing student).
• Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain.
• CRC for Vulnerable Sector - valid for 5 years or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to travel across the Greater Vancouver Area and access to internet/smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with personal care and hygiene.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Accompany clients on outings and errands.
• Medication assist/reminders and ambulation support.
• Provide companionship and follow care plans.

The HCA/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.
