Join our dedicated team at Eagle Ridge Hospital, where you’ll work under the direction of nurses and in cooperation with the interprofessional care team to assist patients with daily activities, document their progress, and ensure their comfort and well-being.
As a community hospital, Eagle Ridge Hospital provides primary and secondary acute care and some specialty services that can be accessed with or without referrals, such as 24/7 emergency, diagnostics, inpatient and outpatient care in general medicine, rehabilitation, surgery, and other specialty services such as urology, plastics, and orthopedics.

In accordance with the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, the Health Care Assistant works in an acute department under the direction of a nurse (Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Nurse Practitioner (NP)), in cooperation with the interprofessional care team, and following established care plans and person-centered care. Provides personal care to patients such as assisting with toileting, bathing, skin and hair care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, changing beds, patient positioning and mobilization. Documents on patient charts in accordance with established procedures, observes and reports patient progress, assists patients with meals, transports patients, and performs related general duties.
Education, Training and Experience
Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Food Safe Level One, as required.
