Your role with clients

As a caring, responsible healthcare team member, you will support clients to be as safe and independent as possible in our community settings, helping them live their best lives. You will provide personal care in clients’ homes, assist with mobility and light exercises, and act with the client and their family at the heart of all you do. You will observe, document, and report any changes in their condition to your Manager/Supervisor. Light housekeeping tasks may also be required as indicated in care plans.

What You Will Need To Be Successful
  • Your Health Care Aide Certificate or Equivalent
  • A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months
  • Proof of a negative TB test within your lifetime
  • Commitment to work every other weekend
  • Ability to travel within the community — must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and a reliable vehicle
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills; proficiency in other languages is an asset
  • Reliability and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg)
