Job summary

Extendicare Fort Macleod Home is seeking a Health Care Aide to provide direct resident care in Fort Macleod, Alberta. This part-time/casual role includes day, evening and night shifts, with a focus on compassionate assistance with mobility, feeding and daily activities.

The successful candidate will assist with grooming, bathing and personal care while supporting residents’ participation in activities and programs and offering emotional and social support to residents and families.

Qualifications

• HCA Certification with current up to date Registration with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
• Able to perform physical tasks and duties, including frequent bending, reaching and lifting.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with mobility, feeding, bathing, toileting and personal grooming.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and programs.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents and families.
