AgeCare is seeking a part-time Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our care team at SkyPointe. You will work under a Licensed Practical Nurse, performing basic care and services to residents, including bathing, feeding, transfers, and mobility assistance.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care within a supportive, diverse team and includes opportunities for training and advancement. Must be fluent in English and possess a PCA/HCA certificate with active Alberta CLHA registration.

Qualifikationen

• One year of experience in continuing care or related environment preferred.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Completion of PCA/HCA certificate or equivalent education.
• Active registration with CLHA (Alberta).
• Post-secondary education is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Bath, shower, and wash residents per care plan.
• Assist transfers with ceiling/mechanical lifts and transfer belts.
• Feed residents and supervise meals according to dietary needs.
• Provide routine treatments and care procedures under nurse supervision.
• Assist residents to travel around the facility and attend activities.
• Escort residents to dining room, parlor, physiotherapy, and recreation.
• Maintain safety with transfer belts and mobility aids.

Work Location: SkyPointeAddress: 179 Skyview Circle NEFTE: Part Time 0.80Employment Type: TemporaryThe OpportunityAs a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will work as a member of the care team, collaborating on the delivery of resident care. The Health Care Aide, under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, applies their knowledge and skills in order to provide a wide variety of safe and thorough basic care and services to residents.What You Will DoBath, shower, and wash residents according to the NCP to promote resident personal comfort and well-being according to strict water temperature control procedures.Transfer/assist with resident transfers in and out of bed, to and from wheelchair, commode, or toilet, using appropriate Engineering Controls (Ceiling Lifts, Mechanical Lifts) and Personal Protective Equipment Controls (Transfer Belt).Feed/assist with feeding residents during meals and nourishment/snack times. Refer to care plan for appropriate diet to each resident.Provide routine treatments (e.g. skin creams, bowel protocols) and care procedures to residents, under the direction of the Staff Nurse.Assist residents to travel about the facility.Assist residents to and from the Dining Room for meals.
