AgeCare Bow Cres in Calgary, AB is seeking a part-time Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our care team. The role involves bathing, transferring, feeding, and assisting residents with daily activities under the supervision of a Staff Nurse.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in continuing care or a related environment preferred.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower and wash residents per the Nursing Care Plan (NCP).
• Assist with transfers using ceiling/mechanical lifts and PPE.
• Support feeding during meals and nourishment/snacks per diet plan.
• Provide routine treatments and care under supervision of a Staff Nurse.
• Assist residents to travel within the facility and to meals.
• Escort residents to beauty parlor, therapy, and recreation activities.

## Health Care Aide - AgeCare Bow CresApply: Calgary, Alberta, Canada: Part time: Posted Today: End Date: September 18, 2026 (3 days left to apply): R26\\_06614**Work Location:****Address:****FTE:****Employment Type:****The Opportunity** A Health Care Aide (HCA) works as a member of the care team, collaborating on the delivery of resident care, to meet individual needs within the level of knowledge, skill sets & competency. The HCA, under the supervision of a Staff Nurse, applies this knowledge and these skills to provide a wide variety of safe and thorough basic care and services to residents. **What You Will Do*** Bath, shower, and wash residents according to the NCP to promote resident personal comfort and well-being according to strict water temperature control procedures.* Transfer/assist with resident transfers in and out of bed, to and from wheelchair, commode, or toilet, using appropriate Engineering Controls (Ceiling Lifts, Mechanical Lifts) and Personal Protective Equipment Controls (Transfer Belt)**.*** Feed/assist with feeding residents during meals and nourishment/snack times. Refer to care plan for appropriate diet to each resident.* Provide routine treatments (e.g. skin creams, bowel protocols) and care procedures to residents, under the direction of the Staff Nurse.* Assist residents to travel about the facility.* Assist residents to and from the Dining Room for meals.
