Job summary

Amica Lions Gate in West Vancouver is seeking a Health Care Aide for a casual role. The position involves supporting residents with daily living activities, light housekeeping, engagement and dining assistance, while upholding compassionate, person-centered care.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an HCA/PSW program (or nursing students) with BC Care Aide registry in good standing and current First Aid/CPR credentials. Accommodation requests are welcome as part of the application process.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized HCA/PSW program or be enrolled in a nursing program, or be an internationally certified nurse.
• Current registration and good standing with the BC Care Aide registry.
• Ability to complete the Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Level 1 First Aid, CPR / AED Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to residents in a senior living setting.
• Assist with light housekeeping, engagement activities and dining support.
• Build meaningful, individualized relationships with residents and families.
