Job summary

Amica Jubilee House in Victoria, BC is seeking a Health Care Aide (Resident Care Partner) for regular part-time hours from 7:00am to 3:00pm, Friday to Monday. The role offers an hourly rate of $29.20, with opportunities for growth and training within Amica’s senior living environments.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate from a recognized HCA/PSW program or currently enrolled in nursing, with BC Care Aide registry in good standing and first aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn and apply on the job.
  • Current BC Care Aide registry registration in good standing.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check required.
  • Level 1 First Aid, CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide resident care and support as part of a team.
  • Assist residents with light housekeeping, engagement and dining support.
  • Form relationships with residents and families to tailor care and interactions.
  • Support medication administration processes as trained.

Education

Graduate from recognized HCA/PSW program
Enrolled in nursing program
Internationally certified nurse

What you will bring:
  • Willingness to learn and apply your learning on the job.
  • You are one of the following: a graduate from a recognized HCA/Personal Support Worker program, currently enrolled in a nursing program or an internationally certified nurse.
  • Current registration and a good standing with the BC Care Aide registry.
  • Ability to complete the Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Level 1 First Aid, CPR / AED Certificate.
