Job summary

Amica Mature Lifestyles Inc. is seeking a Health Care Aide at Amica Jubilee House in Victoria for a regular part-time schedule (Friday to Monday). The role offers a competitive hourly rate of about $29.20 plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Training to administer medications is available, with supportive leadership and predictable self-service scheduling to help balance life. Candidates may be graduates of HCA/PSW programs, nursing students, or internationally certified nurses; current BC

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a recognized HCA/PSW program or an internationally certified nurse.
  • Currently enrolled in a nursing program or an internationally certified nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to residents as part of the Resident Care Partner team.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including light housekeeping, engagement and dining support.

What you will bring:
  • Willingness to learn and apply your learning on the job.
  • You are one of the following: a graduate from a recognized HCA/Personal Support Worker program, currently enrolled in a nursing program or an internationally certified nurse.
  • Current registration and a good standing with the BC Care Aide registry.
  • Ability to complete the Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Level 1 First Aid, CPR / AED Certificate.
