Job summary

Amica Whitby is hiring Medication Care Partners to join our team in Whitby on a temporary part-time basis. You will support seniors with daily living activities and administer medications as trained, in a caring and respectful environment.

We value relationships with residents and families, provide ongoing learning, and offer consistent scheduling, competitive hourly pay, and supportive leadership to help you grow and thrive in senior living.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized Personal Support Worker program, or current nursing student, or internationally certified nurse.
• Medication Administration certification is required.
• Ability to complete the Vulnerable Sector Check and possess First Aid/ CPR AED Level 1.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents in accordance with policy.
• Assist residents with light housekeeping, engagement and dining support.
• Provide compassionate, relationship-based care to residents and families.

What you will bring:

• Willingness to learn and apply your learning on the job.
• You are one of the following: a graduate from a recognized Personal Support Worker program, currently enrolled in a nursing program or an internationally certified nurse.
• Medication Administration certification.
• Ability to complete the Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Level 1 First Aid, CPR / AED Certificate.
