Job summary

Maple Royal Senior Care Inc. in Greater Sudbury is seeking dedicated care aides to support senior clients in their homes. The role is on-site, with 30–40 hours per week at $24.00 per hour and starts as soon as possible.

Requirements include a high school diploma, English language proficiency, and optional or required First Aid and CPR certificates. Experience is an asset; training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• Experience in health care is an asset.
• First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities.
• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling medical equipment.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment.
• Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort.
• Perform other duties related to personal care.
• Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse.
• Serve meal trays and feed patients.
• Supervise patients’ exercise routines.
• Bathe, dress and groom patients.
• Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher.
• Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving and sterilizing operative areas.
