Job summary

Angels There For You is seeking a Registered Care Aide to join our on-site team in Richmond, BC. The role involves assisting patients with daily activities, operating and maintaining medical equipment, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include accompanying patients on outdoor activities, handling specimens and reports between departments, and preparing patients for procedures. Requires First Aid or Nursing Aide credentials and a 1–2 year certificate program.

Qualifications

• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of related healthcare experience.
• Certification in first aid or nursing aide is required or preferred.

• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment
• Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment
• Supply and empty bed pans
• Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
• Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments
• Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
• Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving and sterilizing operative areas
