Qualicare Edmonton South Home Care is seeking caring Health Care Workers to join our team in Edmonton South and surrounding areas. You will help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home, with duties including personal care, mobility support, meal prep, and medication reminders.

Qualifications

• Experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, or a care setting.
• Knowledge of personal care and safe client support.
• Experience with dementia care is an asset.
• Medication support experience is an asset.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities is an asset.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to assist with care tasks.
• Health Care Aide, PSW, nursing student, International Nurse, or related training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Supporting clients with walking, transfers, and mobility.
• Preparing or reheating meals.
• Giving reminders or support with medications, as directed.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Helping keep the client’s home clean and safe.
• Supporting clients living with dementia or disabilities.
• Following the client’s care plan.
• Reporting changes or concerns to the Director of Care.
• Documenting care clearly and on time.
• Transferring assistance from manual to mechanical.

What You Will Do
