Your Opportunity:
The Health Care Aide (HCA) provides patient care services to critically ill patients in CICU under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The HCA responds as part of the code blue team, providing CPR as required. The role requires the ability to tolerate constant walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching, and sustained posture within a fast-paced unit, including lifting, pushing, and pulling objects over 30 lbs.
Description:
As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing personal assistance and support activities of daily living to patients who need short-term or ongoing support, following the patient care plan and facility policies. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers across home, community, or healthcare settings, assisting nurses with routine care to meet hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs. You will observe and report on patients' mood, health, and wellbeing, and assist in maintaining a safe environment under the supervision of a regulated health professional. Effective communication with patients and healthcare team members is essential.
