We are looking for a member of the interdisciplinary health care team responsible for providing direct care to assist in daily activities, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and providing indirect services in the Bone and Joint Outpatient Clinics. Services are provided under supervision of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, or other regulated health professionals according to their supervision guidelines. HCAs are responsible for their tasks and must understand their scope of practice in each setting.
As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing personal assistance, supporting activities of daily living, and assisting patients who require short-term or ongoing support, following patient care plans and facility policies. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers across various care settings, assisting nurses with routine care to meet hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs, supporting organized activities, and observing/reporting on patients' health and wellbeing. Under supervision of a regulated health professional, you will help maintain a safe environment and ensure effective communication with patients and health professionals.
