Requirements for success:

  • Health Care Aide Certificate or Equivalent
  • Valid Health Care Aide Directory Number
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within last 6 months)
  • Proof of a negative TB test
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to work every other weekend
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills; multilingual abilities are an asset
  • Reliability and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg) safely

Your role with clients:

As a caring and responsible team member, you will support clients to be as safe and independent as possible, helping them live their best lives. Responsibilities include providing personal care in clients' homes and lodges, assisting with mobility and light exercises, and observing, documenting, and reporting changes in client conditions. Light housekeeping tasks may also be required as per care plans.
