Description

As a Lead Associate, you will contribute to complex analyses and projects involving the design, measurement, analysis, and project management of employer health and group benefit programs. You will interface with carriers/vendors and client teams, help prepare client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met. This role offers opportunities to grow your health and benefits business acumen, financial, project management, and communication skills by working on cutting-edge projects alongside industry leaders. You will be at the forefront of change in a dynamic environment, supporting process enhancements and the growth of the Health and Benefits team.

The Role

  • Manage multiple employer client teams, providing project management, financial analyses, and client deliverables regionally.
  • Provide guidance on benefit plan analysis, design, cost strategies, and risk management.
  • Assist in carrier/vendor financial reviews for clients.
  • Review and develop technical and consulting outputs, including pricing, employee contributions, plan design modeling, and reserves calculation.
  • Deliver claim reporting and financial modeling to support client decisions.
  • Collaborate with Global Delivery Centers and Client Service teams to ensure quality project management.
  • Understand client needs and recommend suitable products and services.
  • Articulate carrier-specific strengths and weaknesses effectively.
  • Identify target carriers/vendors, manage RFP processes, and analyze proposals to recommend finalists.
  • Manage placement deliverables with strict deadlines and support client communication during renewals and meetings.
  • Communicate complex financial data clearly to drive client action.
  • Build internal relationships and collaborate across teams.
  • Support revenue recognition and ensure proper fund attribution.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external reports.
  • Coordinate with external teams for documentation and commission processing.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in professional services, preferably in benefit consulting, brokerage, underwriting, or actuarial roles.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of health and benefits products, underwriting, funding, and data analytics.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality results on time and budget.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Provincial Life and Health license required within 180 days of employment.
  • Relevant degree or experience.
