Job Description

Reporting to the OHS team and working closely with the company's managers, the Health and OHS Advisor is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and overseeing activities related to accident and occupational disease prevention for the assigned sites.

  • Acts as a change agent for the development of an OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) culture among all managers/employees for all assigned sites;
  • Advises and supports managers with respect to their various OHS-related matters;
  • Collaborates in the development and implementation of various OHS programs, policies, procedures, and tools;
  • Conducts regular workplace inspections as well as inspections of work methods to ensure that safety rules are being followed;
  • Carries out occupational risk analyses and proposes preventive measures;
  • Leads investigations and analyses of workplace accidents jointly with managers, and ensures the implementation of necessary corrective and preventive measures;
Qualifications
  • College diploma or university certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) at a minimum;
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to occupational health and safety;
  • Possess excellent communication and teaching skills;
  • Possess excellent planning, organizational, and adaptability skills;
  • Possess technical skills acquired in an industrial manufacturing environment;
  • Demonstrate thoroughness and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Show initiative, autonomy, and a strong customer-focused approach;
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite;
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be available to travel between the company’s various sites. The position is located in Lévis to cover the assigned territory, which includes the Quebec region and Eastern Quebec.
