A leading manufacturing company seeks a dedicated individual to operate and set up slitting machines. The role involves ensuring accurate cuts according to specifications, maintaining tooling, and supporting team operations in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma and basic computing skills. Experience in a manufacturing setting is an asset. Performs a variety of duties to set-up slitting machines to cut product to proper width according to workorder/customer specifications.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals).
• Basic computer skills.
• Solid analytical and math abilities
• Basic communication skills.
• Ability to follow and give instructions.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to work closely with others in a team environment but also a self starter who can work well independently
• Work authorization: Canada (Required)
Ability to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to temperature changes, noise, dust, and fumes
Experience & Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent One to three years of related experience or equivalent
• Prior metals experience preferred.
