Job description

Performs a variety of duties to set-up slitting machines to cut product to proper width according to workorder/customer specifications.

  • Set up machines as per the production schedule and work order requirements
  • Maintain correct locations and condition of all tooling
  • Handle and clean tooling with care, ensuring high-quality knife standards
  • Build setups in accordance with ASKO standards
  • Inspect setups for accuracy and troubleshoot any slitting issues
  • Assist operators with loading/unloading material and build separators when required
  • Support packagers and help maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ensure full compliance with Work Instructions, QMS, and all company policies
  • Always Represent Coilplus Canada professionally
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Skills

  • Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Solid analytical and math abilities
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Ability to follow and give instructions.
  • Basic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work closely with others in a team environment but also a self starter who can work well independently
  • Work authorization Canada (Required)


Ability to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to temperature changes, noise, dust, and fumes

Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent One to three years of related experience or equivalent
  • Prior metals experience preferred.
