Job summary

LISI Aerospace Canada is seeking a Director of Operations to lead daily manufacturing and support functions from Dorval. The role focuses on implementing LEAN concepts (LEAP), cost reduction programs, and robust manufacturing strategies to meet delivery, quality and profitability targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Expertise in operations management and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations to meet company objectives including sales, on-time delivery, EBIT, CAPEX, CIP/LEAP, inventory management, safety and quality.
• Develops vision, strategy, and objectives aligned with company goals and leads execution.
• Ensures assignment completion and communicates issues to supervision when needed.
• Optimizes resources to improve cost and delivery.
• Promotes LEAP processes and maintains achievement levels.
• Develops and promotes health and safety culture.
• Works with departments to drive business excellence and engage staff.
• Establishes manufacturing controls and ERP usage within responsibility area.
• Serves as liaison between Engineering, Customer Service, and Operations.
• Drives continuous improvement of processes, delivery, quality and profitability.
• Implements training programs for departmental development and ensures QMS compliance.
• Develops CAPEX, purchasing, and inventory budgets and strategic plans.
• Participates in strategic planning and business process analysis.
• Hiring and retention of high-performing personnel.
