Job summary

Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation is seeking an experienced Event Security Supervisor to lead the Fan Experience and Security Team during events. You will mentor Event Security Agents and Fan Experience Hosts while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all guests.

Responsibilities include overseeing frontline operations, coordinating with security, medical, and venue teams, conducting briefings, and driving a culture of professionalism and guest service at Calgary's premier

Qualifications

• Alberta SSIA Security license and AGLC Pro-Serve, with ability to obtain AGLC Pro-Tect within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum of 5 years of security/event experience with leadership proven.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people-management skills.
• Exceptional communication, conflict resolution and decision-making abilities under pressure.
• People-first approach with passion for safety, security and fan experience.
• Knowledge of event operations, crowd management, emergency response protocols and safety regulations.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holiday event schedules.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support Event Security Agents and Fan Experience Hosts, ensuring they are prepared and professional.
• Oversee fan-facing and back-of-house operations on event days, including entry gates, concourses, seating and restricted areas.
• Monitor crowd activity and address safety, security, or crowd management concerns.
• Conduct incident investigations, document findings, and follow-up actions.
• Work with agents on incident reporting and post-incident debriefings.
• Conduct pre-event briefings on expectations, priorities, and procedures.
• Serve as escalation point for high-risk situations and coordinate with other departments.
• Manage real-time staffing deployments for call-ins and absences.
• Facilitate post-event debriefings to review performance and improvements.
• Ensure adherence to venue policies, codes of conduct, and safety procedures.
• Champion health, safety, and security initiatives and guest service.
