Job summary

Chexy is building a first‑class credit function in Canada, starting with a new credit product in early 2027. You will own the credit policy, line management, loss forecasting, and collections, with full accountability to the board and capital partners.

You will write the initial policy, configure line assignments, and present governance packs to the credit committee. You’ll report to the co‑founder/CEO and work with a credit advisor on the committee.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in consumer credit risk with policy ownership and loss outcomes.
• Experience with Equifax and TransUnion Canada data and provincial rules.
• Hands-on SQL and Python; pull data and build models yourself.

Responsibilities

• Write the credit policy: eligibility, verification, decisioning, exceptions, governance.
• Set the credit box using bureau data and proprietary cash-flow data.
• Design and run the pre-launch bureau retro study and test-and-learn roadmap.
• Own loss forecasting and monitor vintage, delinquency, roll-rate and utilization.
• Stand up collections strategy and fraud strategy; partner with payments risk and engineering teams.
