Job summary

COBS Bread is seeking a Regional Operations Specialist to join our Prairies team in Edmonton, AB. The role provides in-bakery operational support, training, guidance and oversight to improve bakery sales, profitability and standards.

The position requires travel, baking experience, and 1–2 years in operations with franchised retail. You will work closely with the Regional Operations Manager to assess franchisees, train staff, coordinate marketing, and ensure OH&S compliance across bakeries.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years’ experience in operations, preferably in a franchise retail environment.
  • 2+ years' experience in customer service.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in the food service, hospitality or franchise industry.
  • Baking experience required.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently and spend time ‘in the field’.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to influence others to affect change and drive constant improvement.
  • Can work autonomously, as well as collaborate in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure bakeries meet standard expectations, and implement with franchisees actions
  • Comply with OH&S policies and other duties as required

Regional Operations Specialist

Reports to: Regional Operations Manager, Prairies

Location: Edmonton, AB

Annual Salary: $70,000 to $75,000 based on experience

We are looking for a Regional Operations Specialist to join our Operations Team in the Prairies.   • Attend in-person production process reviews (e.g., recipe compliance)
  • Conduct in-bakery reviews of actual production vs. production schedules
  • Attend Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews as required and contribute to discussions to ensure outputs align with in-bakery actions
  • Monitor and ensure bakeries meet standard expectations, and implement with franchisees actions
  • Comply with all relevant OH&S policies
  • Other projects and tasks as required

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:

  • A high-energy, positive attitude with the ability to quickly develop trust and meaningful relationships
  • 1-2 years’ experience in operations, preferably in a franchise retail environment
  • 2+ years' experience in customer service
  • 1-2 years’ experience in the food service, hospitality or franchise industry
  • Baking experience required
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently and spend time ‘in the field’ rather than behind a desk
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
