Job summary

Brandon School Division is inviting applications for a Head Custodian at Ècole Harrison in Brandon, Manitoba. The role oversees cleaning and maintenance of facilities, reporting to the Supervisor of Custodial Services.

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of cleaning practices, basic building systems, and possess a Class 5 driver’s license, WHMIS certification, and strong communication skills.

Purpose of Position

The Head Custodian is responsible for overseeing and providing cleaning and maintenance services to Brandon School Division facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Are established by the Supervisor of Custodial Services within the parameters of the job profile.

Required Qualifications

• Requires specific knowledge including the ability to maintain clean and sanitary facilities through the use of cleaning skills and tools.
• Demonstrated basic knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Class 5 Driver's License.
• WHMIS Training/Certification.
• Effective basic computer skills.
• Effective basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
• Effective moderate interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health regulations.
• First Aid, CPR Certification.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
