Job summary

Dexterra Group in British Columbia seeks a Chef for a Dexterra Remote Services camp facility. The regular shift is 20 days on and 10 days off, with 12-hour days; transportation to site from a designated pickup point.

Reporting to the Lodge Manager, the Chef oversees the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, orders food, plans menus, assists with preparation, serving, and control of cooked and uncooked food, trains staff and ensures FOODSAFE compliance.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson or interprovincial Red Seal Certificate.
• SafeCheck advanced food safety or HACCP certification.
• 5+ years of experience in hospitality/food service.
• 2+ years as Sous Chef in hotels, resorts, or remote lodges with international/domestic cuisine knowledge.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, GFS and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen management, training and production.
• Design and serve high-quality rotational menus.
• Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring safety, health, and quality standards.
