Job summary

Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools is seeking a Head Caretaker III for Georges Vanier Catholic Fine Arts School on a temporary basis. Position is 8.0 hours per day with a salary range of $28.22 to $32.69 per hour and a start ASAP through December 31, 2026 or return of the incumbent.

Responsibilities include overseeing caretaking staff, maintaining HVAC and mechanical systems, and ensuring safety practices. Fireman's certificate or higher is required; strong interpersonal and supervisory skills

Required Qualifications:

• Fireman's Certificate or higher
• Preference will be extended to present members of staff who demonstrate the following abilities/qualities while employed by the School Division:

    • Consistent monitoring of work site to identify and remedy potential hazards
    • Requiring and monitoring ‘work safe' practices of supervised staff
• Basic computer knowledge
• Familiarity in the use of computerized control systems
• Superior working knowledge of caretaking supplies, equipment, and procedures
• Ability to coordinate with the principal, user/rental groups, and contractors
