Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for baking and a commitment to producing our high-quality bundt cakes. As a Baker, you will be responsible for following our recipes, ensuring that all products meet our standards for taste and presentation. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Accountabilities/Duties
  1. Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals.
  2. Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes.
  3. Accurately prepares raw ingredients and equipment for baking, places cake pans into hot oven, and monitors the baking process.
  4. Adheres to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes, as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs.
  5. Assists Bakery Manager in the development of cake production plans, monitors inventory of baking supplies, and notifies management when supply replenishment is required.
  6. Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstation, ensuring all baking supplies are prepared for the next shift.
  7. Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies, including dress code and personal hygiene.
  8. Maintains consistent work attendance and punctuality.

  • Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate commercial bakery equipment and work near high heat sources.
  • Meticulous attention to measurements, timing, and working under pressure.
  • Ability to evaluate products and processes for compliance with standards.
  • Discipline and attention to safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
Education, Certifications, and Experience
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Previous experience as a baker or in foodservice is a plus but not required.
