Job summary

Redhead Equipment in Melfort is seeking a Heavy Duty Service Technician (Journeyperson or equivalent) to inspect, diagnose, repair and service equipment in our shop. A journey person certification is required, but comparable dealership experience may be considered.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, experience with hydraulic and electrical schematics, and a customer‑focused, team oriented attitude. We offer ongoing training and a competitive compensation package with benefits.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson trade training in heavy equipment mechanics.
• 4th year apprentices may be considered.
• Experience using OEM diagnostic programs and reading hydraulic/electric schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service equipment in the shop.
• Maintain safety and quality workmanship while meeting customer needs.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient service delivery.

Position Overview

Redhead Equipment company has an exciting career opportunity for a Heavy Duty Service Technician (Mechanic) Journeyperson or similar trade experience at our Melfort branch.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and service of equipment at our service shop. Journey person certification is required, however those with similar experience at a dealership will be considered.

Ideal Candidate

• Journeyperson trade training in Heavy Duty Construction Equipment mechanics. 4th year apprentices maybe considered.
• Mechanical and/or computerized diagnostic skills using OEM specific programs
• Proficiency reading and interpreting hydraulic & electric schematics
