Summary: The HCS Operational Project Manager supports, manages, and directs projects related to UNC’s Access Center software and new software implementations. The role requires familiarity with access and scheduling tools, including Epic Workflows, Call Center software, Scheduling workflows, and Call agent workflows. Additionally, the manager supports Care Access and Service Integration (CASI) initiatives, developing and executing strategic access center projects under CASI. The individual must demonstrate strong communication skills, accountability, adaptability, attention to detail, and a results-oriented, customer-first attitude.
The HCS Operational Project Manager defines project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with system-wide business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive project plans, financial plans, quality audits, and communication documents. The role involves working with IT resources, administrative staff, call center teams, clinicians, and executives to implement strategies fostering a high-performance culture.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: None required.
Professional Experience Requirements: At least five (5) years of project management experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated accountability, political sensitivity, and ability to bring projects to successful completion on time and within budget.
