Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a Band 2 Driver/Handyperson to join the team at the Mackintosh Centre in Mallaig. The centre supports residential care in Lochaber for up to 8 residents and values dignity and a caring approach.

Experience is not essential as training will be provided. This is a part-time permanent post of 24.7 hours per week, with duties aligned to service requirements and a focus on compassionate, respectful care.

Additional Information For Candidates

• Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
