Canadian Base Operators in Meaford, Ontario is seeking a reliable Handyperson to support the Structure Supervisor and contribute to a safety‑conscious, hands‑on team. Responsibilities include maintaining building elements, roofing systems, windows and doors, and hardware, with emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must obtain Government of Canada Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Understand the safe use, maintenance, and operation of hand and power tools.
• Order materials required for tasks.
• Construct, issue, and receive target inventory; repair and replace targets.
• Work on major building elements and roof systems (membrane and shingle).
• Install and adjust windows, doors, hardware; locks and keys.
• Install various floor coverings and bathroom partitions.
• Work with wall coverings and painted surfaces.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

The Handyperson is located in Meaford, Ontario and typically reports directly to the Structure Supervisor. Their primary focus is to provide support and assistance to the Structure Supervisor.

Compensation, Benefits, And Perks

• Hourly wage - $22.50-$24.00
• Company supplied tools
• Regular daytime hours, Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Understands the correct use, safety and maintenance of hand and power tools related to this type of work.
• Orders materials required for individual tasks
• Constructs, issues and receives target inventory
