iA Financial Group in Quebec is seeking a Hands-on Solution Architect to design and deliver scalable architectures while actively coding. You will develop PoCs, POVs, and MVPs, collaborate across teams, and drive architecture governance to ensure delivery of strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 12+ years in IT with at least 7 years in solution architecture within large, complex programs.
- Hands-on software development experience and modern solution design.
- Significant experience in AI, cloud computing, and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Design robust, scalable architectures aligned to business needs and tech strategy.
- Develop PoCs, POVs, and MVPs to validate new approaches quickly.
- Participate in software development, testing, debugging, and deployment of key components.

As a Hands-on Solution Architect, you will be at the center of our mission. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing robust, scalable solution architectures aligned with business needs and the organization’s technology strategy.
- Developing Proofs of Concept (POCs), Proofs of Value (POVs), and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to rapidly validate new technological approaches.
- Actively participating in software development, testing, debugging, and deploying key solution components.
- Collaborating closely with developers, architects, analysts, and business partners to ensure the success of strategic initiatives.
- Leading architecture activities, including solution reviews, governance, architecture decisions, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Supporting the industrialization, integration, and transition of solutions to operational teams.
- Ensuring the quality, integrity, and traceability of solutions throughout their lifecycle.
- Contributing to the evolution of architecture, software engineering, artificial intelligence, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.
- Monitoring technology trends and recommending innovative approaches tailored to organizational needs.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is recognized for designing and delivering end-to-end technology solutions.
- Demonstrates strong technical leadership, an innovative mindset, and the ability to rapidly turn ideas into concrete results.
- Exhibits a broad technical skill set and adaptability across different technology environments.
- Is known for intellectual curiosity, rapid learning ability, and comfort in ambiguous and constantly evolving contexts.
- Has at least 12 years of experience in Information Technology, including a minimum of 7 years in solution architecture within complex projects and large-scale organizations.
- Has recent, hands‑on experience in software development and modern solution design.
- Possesses significant experience in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and modern DevOps practices.
- Has a strong understanding of architecture and integration principles, as well as modern technology environments, including containers, orchestration, and event-driven architectures.
- Holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Possesses advanced English proficiency, as the role requires regular collaboration with technology vendors, analysis of specialized technical documentation, evaluation of international technology platforms and solutions, and interaction with business partners and technical experts working in English-speaking environments.
- Possesses advanced French proficiency, as the role requires frequent collaboration with French-speaking stakeholders, participation in strategic discussions, preparation of technical and business documentation, and communication with teams across the organization.
- Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Integration: APIs, Kafka, event-driven architectures, MuleSoft.
- Development: .NET, C#, NoSQL databases.
- DevOps & Automation: Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, Git, Terraform, CI/CD.
- Security & Compliance: Industry-recognized frameworks, including NIST and ISO 27001.
- Methodologies: Agile, Lean Startup, MVP, DevOps, SDLC, and ITIL.
