Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an ARMO Technician - Assembly I in Alberta to assemble complex components, test assemblies, and follow precise instructions. The role requires reading blueprints, using measuring tools, and performing calibrations while maintaining safety and teamwork on the shop floor.

The position involves standing most of the shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Comprehensive benefits are available to successful applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined with a good understanding of mechanical assembly activities.
• Able to read and interpret assembly blueprints.
• Able to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of form and function of assembly components.
• Ability to accurately use measuring instruments.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Capable of working collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to follow established safety procedures while performing tasks.
• Able to stand for the majority of the shift.
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to occasionally push or pull up to 10 pounds.
• Able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements with hand tools.
• Able to operate a crane, hoist, and pallet jack.
• Ability to work Mon-Fri 2:30pm - 11:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex components according to drawings and BOMs.
• Perform functional testing on completed assemblies.
• Test assemblies according to customer/division criteria.
• Operate test equipment per engineering standards.
• Calibrate and maintain assembly tools.
• Perform torquing activities as required.
• Distribute quality notifications (QNs).
• Read and interpret assembly blueprints to support accuracy.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Use measuring instruments accurately for assemblies.
• Apply troubleshooting skills to address issues.
• Use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Operate cranes, hoists, and pallet jacks as required.
• Work effectively in a team with minimal supervision.
