Job summary

Able Innovations Inc. in Toronto is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician with strong electrical and software troubleshooting skills to deploy, maintain, and support ALTA systems.

You will complement our mechanical and mechatronics expertise by investigating electrical faults, interpreting diagnostic logs, troubleshooting device communications, and understanding how software and hardware interact. This role is 100% in office, with willingness to travel to customer sites across Canada and

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and servicing complex electromechanical equipment.
• Strong electrical/electronics fundamentals; reading schematics.
• Proficient with multimeters and electrical diagnostic tools.
• Experience with firmware updates, networking, and device communication.
• Hands-on mechanical work including disassembly and component replacement.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair ALTA systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, and software faults.
• Use diagnostic tools and system logs to verify repairs.
• Perform firmware updates and calibrations.
• Hardware servicing and component replacements.
• Provide remote and on-site customer support.
• Collaborate with engineering to reproduce issues and capture evidence.
• Maintain service records and improve procedures.
• Follow safety procedures and verify before returning equipment to use.
